Alanguilan steps out with 'Elmer'

Filipino illustrator Gerry Alanguilan has posted a four page preview of his upcoming self-published comic book, Elmer. Normally, I'd tell you about it but in this case I must highly recommend you read it yourself. Issue 1 is scheduled for a April 2006 release from Alanguilan's Komikero Publishing.

Alanguilan is well known in American comics for his inking work with longtime friend and collaborator Leinil Francis Yu. After the completion of the six issue miniseries Silent Dragon in 2005, Alanguilan decided to focus on creating his own comics which he had been doing in his spare time time since 1992.
