You haven't seen the last of me
Not by a long shot.
It's been a long, hard road, but I've finally made it. You see, I've been working toward my nursing degree for the past year and a half to what seemed no avail, but that all changed on January 17th...
I was accepted into nursing clinicals.
I was shocked, nervous, and excited all at the same time. As a husband and father of two of the most beautiful girls in the world, I know that I have to really step up to the plate and knock it out of the park to make it through what will more than likely be the most testing time of my life, in every sense of the word (well, except maybe sexually). Every week there are deadlines and tests and quizzes and...
You get the point.
And because you get the point, I believe that you know what I have to say next. I'll be stepping down from TGC. It's not that I want to, rest assured. It's that I have to. And it's hard for me to do so. Though I wasn't a very frequent contributor, I worked a good bit on many things behind the scenes and was basically Alex's slave...er...I mean, right hand man in getting this great and fun group blog going. And I don't regret one single bit of it. I have many hobbies, but comics and the comic industry are at the top of that list. Always have been, more than likely always will be.
And like Alex Segura, Jr., Mister DC Bigshot (heh, ;) ), I feel that an excellent decision has been made in allowing JK Parkin to take hold of the reins and run with TGC. So far he's done an excellent job and even added some voices to the TGC roster that I never had any idea would be here, people like Kevin Melrose and Shane Bailey. This is definitely one of the, if not THE, most diversified comic blog out there and I'm honored to have been a part of it for as long as I have been. My hat's off to the team for all of the hard work done here.
But I'll be back. Hopefully, bigger and better than ever. But I've gotta get through this, so a lot of my extracurricular internet activity must come to a screeching halt, if not an end. I plan to use some of my down time actually trying to create some work for future publication, but truth be told, I'm easily distracted (took me about 30 minutes to type this up). Sigh.
Thanks, everyone. I'll see you on the flip side.

Congrats again, man; I'm happy for you and your family, though sad for us. You've been invaluable over the past few months in helping me get up to speed during the transition from Alex.
And the door is always open. Take care and don't be a stranger!
Congrats Chris. I remember talking to you way back when the blog was first starting. See ya around.
As far as names you never expected, It's really not that hard to get me to participate in something. All you have to do is ask. :)
Take care.
Good luck Chris. I hope to see you back real soon.
He will be back. No doubt.
Congrats, man. You deserve it.
