Free Comic Book Day begins to shape up

While we're still about five months away from Free Comic Book Day 2006, creators are starting to offer a glimpse at what publishers will offer up on May 6.

Josh Howard posted on his blog that Viper would participate in the annual event for the first time with Viper Comics Presents, a comic that will feature several stories, including an introduction to the ongoing Dead@17 comic coming this summer.



Meanwhile, Jo Chen's cover for Marvel's X-Men/Runaways crossover has been making the rounds, a book that will feature a story by Brian K. Vaughn and Seth Fisher:



And Mark Martin has offered up a glimpse of part of the cover for Fantagraphics' offering on his web site:
