Somebody Save Me

I was never a Buffy fan, so a Smallville homage to that show wasn't a big thrill for me. I like vampires, but I've always been underwhelmed whenever they've infiltrated my favorite non-horror shows. I've had to endure vampire episodes of Xena and Alias; now this.

Stupidest episode ever. It's "not a vampire episode" in the same way that Alias's was "not a vampire episode." Which is to say that it was, but they couldn't commit to the stupidity of it and only went part way. If you're going to do something stupid, you should at least commit to it and own it for what it is. I might not like it still, but I can at least respect the stupidity if you're honest about it.

Disgusted.

Next week, though, Luke Duke shows up in a Charger and Lois strips, so things are looking up.
