Remember the '70s?

Not having been alive in January 1979, I'm quite glad that Scott Tipton over at Movie Poop Shoot this week was able to put together this visually horrifying glance at Hanna-Barbera’s TV special "Legends of the Superheroes." It was apparently a one-time live action comedy in which a collection of DC rogues engages in campy Adam West Batman-esque hijinx as they try to wipe out all life on Earth. The superheroes (represented by D-list actors in costumes ranging from the classic Westian Batman to a Hawkman and Green Lantern that almost make David Ogden Stiers looks good in retrospect) are accompanied by a few new faces as well, including Retired Man and Ghetto Man. Also, it is fittingly hosted by Ed McMahon. Now they just don't make TV like this anymore.
