Negativism?

Go to most large online communities devoted to comics. Look at the most posted upon topics. Usually it is in response to some creative talent having expressed a view, and the community responding. Also, whatever comic event is ongoing is almost certain to be raising a crapfest. People have different views, and express them loudly. Loud is not a problem. But usually, it is far more than loud, it is deeply angry. But to what end?

As my work here might or should evidence, I love comics. I grew up with great comics and love the medium. Nearly all of the people I have met in the industry also love the medium. So why can't we all celebrate the medium, and make certain to raise it up than push it down?

Sigh.
