Josh Howard interview
Alex Ness of PopThought chats with Josh Howard, creator of Dead@17 and Black Harvest, asking about, among other things, "Why all the Godstuff?":
My basic source material is, of course, the Bible. I find it an unending source of inspiration. But that is just the foundation. I read a lot of books. Some are religious in nature, some aren't. But why so much Godstuff? I write what I know. Those are the things that are real to me. It's not even something I consciously do. I never sit down an think, "How can I infuse this story with spiritual themes?" It's so much a part of me, it just seeps through. Every writer has his "thing," whether it be crime, history, science fiction, or whatever. I guess this is mine.
