Real-life Michigan crime fighter arrested for drunk driving

Captain Jackson, the real-life "superhero" of Jackson, Michigan, was arrested for drunk driving earlier this month:

For the past six years, hometown superhero Captain Jackson patrolled the streets of Jackson, Michigan, in his purple cape, mask and tights as defender of its citizenry.

But last week, the caped crusader proved that even superheroes can make mistakes when he was sentenced to six months' probation after a drink-driving arrest.

A factory worker by day, Thomas Frankini surfaced in 1999 as Captain Jackson wearing a shabby homemade suit to help police enforce the law, reported The Jackson Citizen Patriot.

On his website, www.captainjackson.org, he describes himself as an 'independent crime fighter' together with his 15-year-old daughter, Crimefighter Girl, and fiance Queen of Hearts.

Great. Next he'll get a magic ring and destroy planets.

Actually we kind of live in a life of shame/fear of him here in Jackson. Afraid he'll talk to us, and ashamed that everybody seems to know who he is and identify him with our city. Sigh...
