Tom Strong: Fascist?

At CBR, there's a thread on whether Tom Strong represents fascism:

He always seems to revel in his supperiority, he seems to brainwash his fans into thinking he's some kind of Christ figure while never actualy doing anything for them. Issue #6 really show cases this, when Tom's viewing the future he watches his son attack members of the Strongmen of America, the kids, now all grown, aged and decrept and apparently poorish, are saved by Tom, who's technology keeps him forever young, powerful, and wealthy. So why doesn't Tom share his age rejuvination tech with his biggest fans when it appears so readily avalible? Why do they live in a slum worshiping a man who's never done more then hand out cheap membership badges and comic books?
